Garbage・Recycling ・・・ ゴミ・リサイクル○How to put out domestic garbage
Domestic garbage is collected by the city hall. Collection places and days are different place to place. Ask your neighbors or check the collection calendar printed by Seikatsu Kankyo-ka of Ritto City Hall(TEL 551-0115).
Put your garbage out on the assigned day in the assigned manner.
○How to separate garbage
Please ask how to separate your garbage to your neighbors or check the collection calendar printed by Seikatsu Kankyo-ka of Ritto City Hall. Please abide by the rules as to putting out garbage in your neighborhood.
○How to dispose of Sodai gomi (bulky garbage) or Ogata gomi (large item garbage)
Collection of bulky/large-item garbage such as furniture differs from place to place. Please check the collection calendar printed by Seikatsu Kankyo-ka of Ritto City Hall.
○Unneeded air conditioners, tube televisions, refrigerators, freezers and washing machines and personal computers
Air conditioners, tube televisions, refrigerators, freezers, washing machines and personal computers are not collected as bulky/large item garbage. When air conditioners, tube televisions, refrigerators, freezers, and washing machines become unusable or unneeded, they should be returned to the shop where you bought, or you are going to buy new ones. A recycling fee and transportation fee must be paid. If you cannot ask the store to do this service, please inquire Seikatsu Kankyo-ka of Ritto City Hall. For unneeded personal computers, contact the manufacturer, and a post office clerk will come to collect them(If the PC was bought before October, 2003, collection fee is charged.).

Old newspapers, magazines, cans, and bottles are recyclable. Please ask your neighbors or check the collection calendar printed by Seikatsu Kankyo-ka of Ritto City Hall(TEL 551-0341).
